Episode 5: Our Life Our Film

Our Life, Our Film is a unique cinematic experiment by eight women from the
earthquake- ravaged villages of Kutch and Saurashtra. With a little help from a
professional crew, these women trace their challenging journey from disaster to
development. True to their feminine nature, the film focuses on children and
women’s issues, with inspirational stories of grit and survival.

This Saturday, 18th August, on the 4th episode of Through The Looking Glass we feature a documentary made by 9 students from the Social Communications Media course at Sophia Polytechnic.

Rooted in Hope is a film on The Anchorage, an organization set up to give mentally challenged adults an opportunity to work and spend their time more productively. The documentary delves into the world of these adults who are often misunderstood and more often than not forgotten by society. In the midst of this unfortunate scenario, Anchorage provides a ray of hope by offering them an opportunity to lead a fulfilling life with dignity and respect.
